a Pen and Paper

Do you realize how beautiful it is to have a pen and paper?

Even if you feel no one listens to you even if you feel that you can read to someone and they would just fall asleep...

At least if you have your pen and paper you have freedom.

The freedom to talk to speak to yell to cry to feel to smile to laugh and it can bring you peace... it brings you joy!

Oh joy it's better then any little 'ol toy!

I still remember sitting in my window seal legs up paper on my lap ..the pen gracing those pages as my radio blared the latest music. Oldies of course :-)

Those days seem so far away but for a moment as I write I can feel that link ... the link between me and that little girl. I was so young precious and had the biggest imagination - full of hope big dreams and still to this day I find myself having that big 'ol heart believing the best in everything ... in everyone.

Don't judge

We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think that yours is the only path. =)

No matter what happens in life...

I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he or she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life. I've learned that making a living is not the same thing as making a life. I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw some things back. I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn. I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Promise

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

Sweet Simplicity

Take time to notice all the usually unnoticed, simple things in life. Delight in the never-ending hope that's available every day!

A fiery sunset, tiny pansies by the wayside, the sound of raindrops tapping on the roof- what extraordinary delight we find in the simple wonders of life! With wide eyes and full hearts, we may cherish what others often miss.

Sometimes in life it's easy to forget to remain and stay happy; especially when your doing everything right and everything comes crashing down. Remember God knows and sees you, he doesn't forget anything. :)

I love having people in my life who can make me laugh when i did not even feel like smiling! I'm so thankful that I have some inspirational; comedian; driven; beautiful inside and out friends and family in my life! Truly Blessed to have you! All this camping talk has me reminiscing of all the fun times! I say we think about next year now and get some camp sites!!! I want to do our annual all girls camping for sure! We should plan a few family trips as well! :D

When I think of the ocean's width and depth, I stand in awe because I know God's love for me is so much more wider and so much more deeper. It's unmeasurable!

Forgiveness is never easy, but it is always necessary... When we forgive, we keep our Minds full of Peace, our Hearts full of Love and our Souls full of Joy.

I could just cry tears of joy and I'm one of the proudest MOMS! My son won his 2nd fight as well and did so awesome!!!

Every morning take a good look at yourself in the mirror and say " I am going to have a great day! Yes I can do it, and I will let nobody steal my joy!

The journey is just as important as the destination :)

Everyone is independent in their own beliefs and ideas about things, so never expect a person to always see things your way.

Beauty is on the inside & not the outside. If you are going to judge, judge me by my heart & not by my skin. Your skin ages but your heart stays beautiful.

There are a lot of ways that you can start your day, but the most important way is with prayer.

Be a hand that reaches out. Be a smile for those who have no reason to smile. Be a light for those who live in darkness. Show them what it means to truly love

The Mayonnaise Jar

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle,
when 24 Hours in a day is not enough,

remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A  professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students, if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “yes.”

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

“Now,” said the professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things – family, health, friends, and favorite passions – things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.” “The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.” “The sand is everything else – the small stuff.”

“If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued,
“there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.”
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So...
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Spend time with family and friends. Take time to get medical checkups. Spend time out in nature. Pursue your favorite passions. Laugh. There will always be time to clean the house, fix the disposal, mow the lawn, and wash the car.

“Take care of the golf balls first – the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.
The professor smiled.
“I’m glad you asked.” “It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.”

May I be Radiant this year

The supreme prayer of my heart is not to be learned, rich, famous, powerful, or good, but simply to be radiant. I desire to radiate health, cheerfulness, calm courage, and good will. I wish to live without hate, whim, jealousy, envy, fear. I wish to be simple, honest, frank, natural, clean in mind and clean in body, unaffected, as ready to say I do not know, if it be so, and to meet all men on an absolute equality, to face any obstacle and meet every difficulty unabashed and unafraid. I wish others to live their lives, too - up to their highest, fullest, and best. To that end I pray that I may never meddle, interfere, dictate, give advice that is not wanted, or assist when my services are not needed. Follow me

I push away all the time. It is a normal reaction for me.
I crave so much and yet I have given up more than enough.
I have shown you my true self and I have hidden nothing from you.
I'm not a bad person. I do have a good heart. Maybe I am speaking out of guilt.
No, it's not guilt. You've seen my heart and you've felt what I can give.

I sometimes feel like a clear sky that is empty and solid blue.
Waiting for foggy winds or a drizzle of rain. Even a bunny shaped cloud would be nice.
I try to control my horizon but I cannot stop my sun from rising or setting.
I have been myself and if I hurt you in the process I did not mean to.


To have me is not to give to me.
To have me is not to share with me.
To have me is not to entertain me.
To have me is not to keep me.

To have me is nothing more than to follow me and love me.

You can not capture the cool breeze of the wind.
You can not capture the bright shine of the sun.
You can not capture the rythmic waves of a shore.
All of these are ment to be free.

So...

Hold your hands out and feel my breeze.
Sit and feel the warmth of my sunset and appreciate it's beauty.
Lay and bathe in the waves that tap against my shore.
